Mediovel is a fantasy book discovery app paired with a curated subscription box, designed for young adult and new adult readers who crave a one-stop portal for immersive fantasy stories. Inspired by my ever-growing love for fantastical worlds filled with adventure, mythical creatures, worldbuilding- yet frustrated by the challenge of finding them all in one place, I designed Mediovel. This interactive app merges captivating UX/UI elements with a magical aesthetic. The interface blends a palette of deep twilight blues, vibrant cyan, and soft aged parchment, evoking the enchantment of a fantasy realm. Intricate hand-drawn motifs, inspired by medieval stories, serve as interactive navigation elements in the app. A modern medieval font family, Mendl, includes a serif and a simple sans serif typography. This font is reminiscent of classic fantasy novels, which enhances the experience while ensuring readability. More than just a book discovery tool, Mediovel is designed to ignite creativity, inspiring both artistic and literary minds through visually engaging design and a space for fantasy lovers to explore, share, and experience the magic of books beyond the page.
